The busy day continues and the Houston Texans have signed restricted free agent Eddie Pleasant to a two-year deal. The Texans opted to sign Pleasant to a contract instead of placing a tender on him.
In 2015, Pleasant played in 16 games and was the third safety in dime for the defense. Pleasant had 36 total tackles, .5 sacks, 6 pass deflections, and 2 interceptions. In four seasons, Pleasant has appeared in 48 games for the Texans since he was signed as a rookie free agent out of Oregon.
Pleasant will continue to help on special teams and take his spot as the third safety on the defense.
