San Jose State's Tyler Ervin To Workout for the Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are set to workout San Jose's State all-time leader in all-purpose yards in offensive threat, Tyler Ervin.

The Houston Texans will be working out San Jose State running back Tyler Ervin for more draft preparation. Ervin also has a workout scheduled with the New England Patriots and he has already worked out for the Cincinnati Bengals.

Ervin spent five seasons with the Spartans, where he locked up All-American honors. Playing running back, slot wide receiver, cornerback, and special teams, Ervin fits the mold of what the Texans look for in players: versatility.

His value rises when adding in his kick return ability. In 2015, Ervin had 23.9 yards per return and three kickoffs returned for touchdowns in his career. His final two seasons, Ervin returned punts where he had two returns for touchdowns.

Ervin is a complete college player who can do it all, which is a big factor for the Texans interest in the all-purpose yardage (6,146 yards) leader in San Jose State history.
