Rutgers' Leonte Carroo To Visit the Houston Texans

The Houston Texans are going to host Rutgers' wide receiver Leonte Carroo at NRG Stadium according to reports.

The Houston Texans are set to host former Rutgers wide receiver, Leonte Carroo, at NRG Stadium for another one of their thirty pre-draft visits. At 6’0” and 211 lbs. Carroo was considered one of the Scarlet Knights’ go-to weapons on offense.

Although Carroo struggled with an ankle injury in his final season with Rutgers, he put together a senior season which saw him haul in 39 catches for 809 yards and ten touchdowns, averaging 20.7 yards per reception in 2015. In 2014, Carroo had 55 receptions for 1,086 yards and ten touchdowns, averaging 19.7 yards per reception.

Carroo, the past three seasons, had 29 touchdowns in 30 games.

At his re-check at the NFL Combine, Carroo’s right ankle was deemed 100%, giving him a clean bill of health moving forward to the NFL Draft. He re-injured his ankle preparing for the Senior Bowl which had limited him at the NFL Combine and the Rutgers pro day. Carroo had to hold his own pro day with 20 teams in attendance, at which he showed of his cutting ability after only running the 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine.

The wide receiver has been busy. He has visited the New York Jets, New England Patriots, Miami Dolphins, and he also had a private workout with the Tennessee Titans.
