Arkansas' Jonathan Williams to Visit the Houston Texans

Arkansas' runningback Jonathan Williams will take a pre-draft visit to the Houston Texans.

According to ESPN's Tania Ganguli, the Houston Texans will host Arkansas running back Jonathan Williams. The Allen, Texas native will visit to NRG Stadium as part of one of the thirty pre-draft visits allowed by the NFL. At 5-11 and 220 lbs., Williams missed the entire 2015 season with a foot injury. He opted to enter the NFL Draft instead of heading back to school for an injury redshirt and risking further injury.

In 2014, Williams had 211 rushes for 1,190 yards and 12 touchdowns which led him to be named to the APAll-SEC second team and a semi-finalist for the Earl Campbell Award. In three seasons, Williams rushed the ball 406 times for 2,321 yards and 16 touchdowns while starting 24 of his 36 career games.

At his pro day, Williams ran a 4.63 forty yard dash with a 1.57 10 yard split. It was the first time Williams ran for scouts since injuring his foot. Williams took part in the NFL Combine but only took part in the bench press (16 reps).

Before injuring his foot, Williams was selected to the Maxwell Award Watch list prior to the season and at the end of the season he was selected to participate in the Reese's Senior Bowl.
