Nick Martin Signs His Rookie Deal With The Houston Texan

The Houston Texans have signed their second round selection Nick Martin prior to the start of OTAs.

The Houston Texans have signed their second round pick from Notre Dame, center Nick Martin. Martin’s deal is worth $4.774 million including a $1.672 million signing bonus and his year one cap number will be $868,177. The Texans now have four of their six draft picks signed, only Will Fuller and Braxton Miller remain to be signed. Starting in a 13 games in 2014, Martin was a team captain and that was his first season to play another position besides center. He played 10 games at guard this past season, after becoming the starting center in 2013. He missed the end of the 2013 season with a knee injury. 

Martin will be in the discussion for the starting position at center when OTAs arrives at the end of May.
