Summer has arrived and the beach bodies will be coming out for all to see. On July 6th, Houston Texans defensive tackle Vince Wilfork will join in the festivities by taking part in ESPN’s The Body Issue. Wilfork will be the first Texans player to grace the magazine and it comes with a good message from Wilfork.
“I know I don’t have the six-packs and the eight-packs and all that,” explained Wilfork “but I’m perfectly fine with what I am.
“If people can look at me, look at a guy that’s 325-plus doing an issue like this, I’m pretty sure that they might have a little confidence after seeing that it’s OK to be who you are.”
He will join the likes of Jake Arrieta (Chicago Cubs), Antonio Brown (Pittsburgh Steelers), Von Miller (Denver Broncos), Christen Press (U.S. Women’s Soccer National Team) and Dwayne Wade (Miami Heat), to name a few.
Wilfork enters his second season with the Texans and has been a positive contributor to the organization on and off the field.
