Entering his second season with the Texans out of Georgia, Corey Moore turned a tryout during rookie mini camp into a contract that put him on the 90-man roster. He put together a solid training camp which landed him on the practice squad and, late in the regular season, he was signed to the active roster to contribute on special teams.
The thing about NFL seasons is that each one offers a new beginning for players on the fringe of the roster. That is where Moore currently finds himself and, with three returning starters and recently drafted K.J. Dillion, the roster spots at safety are thin. Moore has an uphill climb and, even if he puts together a solid camp, it still could not be enough.
Roster Situation: Fighting for the fifth roster spot at safety but practice squad is looking like his best bet.
