After stints with the New York Jets and Buffalo Bills prior to the 2015 season, Dalton Freeman arrived to the Texans and spend the final month of the season on the practice squad. Dalton has appeared in 16 NFL games and he was reunited with Texans offensive line coach, Mike Devlin, who was his coach with the Jets.
Freeman currently is sitting deep on the depth chart and has at least two players in front of him in Tony Bergstrom and Nick Martin. Freeman will have to stay the course and be solid throughout camp. The Texans typically keep a center and a dual player who can play both center and guard. With those two spots looking to be set, Freeman is currently on the outside looking in.
Roster Situation: Practice squad is Freeman's best chance to keep his NFL career going.
