Another offensive lineman who spent last season on the practice squad as the Texans worked to help him develop, Karim Barton arrived mid season to fill that practice squad spot. Spending majority of the season with the team and offered a futures/reserve contract for this season, the organization wants to get another look at the young offensive guard.
Barton is stuck in a deep and talented interior offensive line group. Working at offensive guard, Barton is going to have to keep plugging away when training camp arrives and show he can do it during joint practices and preseason games.
Practice squad is Barton's best bet moving towards the season.
