2016 Houston Texans Player Profile: Devon Still

A closer look at the Houston Texans roster heading into the 2016 training camp.

Arriving to the Texans at the end of last season and signed to a futures/reserve contract, Devon Still was added with little fanfare. Still sat out all of the 2015 season to concentrate his efforts on supporting his daughter’s fight with cancer but he is now focused back on the game with a clean bill of health for his daughter. Much more focused on what he needs to do to make it in the NFL, Still has an uphill climb to get back into the football way of life.

Still will be given the chance to win a position on the defensive line and it will be up to him to make the positive impression to make it happen. He was part of a deep Cincinnati Bengals defensive line his first three seasons in the NFL, but he will have to prove the year off was not too much.

Roster Situation

It is up in the air, he will have to win his spot on the 53-man, especially with all of the youth in front of him.
