Claimed early last season after being waived by the New York Jets after serving a one-game suspension, Oday Aboushi found himself contributing in a hurry at left guard. Reunited with his offensive line coach with the New York Jets, Mike Devlin knew what Aboushi brings to the table for the offensive line. Aboushi appeared 7 games starting five of those games and helped hold down the guard position until Xavier Su’a-Filo was ready for the remainder of the season.
Aboushi will continue to be an important piece due to his ability to lineup in multiple spots on the offensive line. Aboushi is better suited for one of the guard positions but that will be sorted out during training camp. His ability to start is an added plus for a league that looks for players with starting experience.
