Such a promising start for the linebacker out of USF, Reshard Cliett showed he could be a top cover linebacker and special teams player in a short time on the field. Tearing his ACL in the first week of training camp, Cliett’s rookie season ended before it really even started.
Cliett is going to have to show he is over his ACL injury, an injury that usually takes two full seasons to overcome. During off-season work Cliett was visibly still working the kinks out on his knee but by the end of mandatory mini-camp, he was moving much better. Cliett has an hill to climb to break into the inside linebacker depth chart.
Has to show he is over his injury, if he can, Cliett should be able to make a move to the 53-man roster.
