Houston Texans Training Camp: J.J. Watt Gives His Own Injury Update After Back Surgery

J.J. Watt gives an update on his health after his back surgery.

The Houston Texans are keeping a close eye on J.J. Watt moving forward and he made an appearance today for the first time since having his back surgery. Watt is not supposed to have any real physical strain on his body and there is no precise timetable on when Watt will return to the field.

Head coach, Bill O’Brien, addressed the ongoing situation with Watt.

“He’s progressing well. The procedure just happened a short time ago, but he’s on the right track,” explained O’Brien. “I think all of us understand the type of work ethic and what he brings to the table every single day. He’s going to work very hard to be out here as soon as he can.”

Watt discussed his health with the media after practice.
