Houston Texans Sign Offensive Lineman Matt Pierson

The Houston Texans have signed rookie free agent Matt Pierson to help a depleted offensive line.

The Houston Texans have signed some help for an offensive line that has been hit by the injury bug to start training camp. The Texans signed rookie offensive lineman Matt Pierson to help out during training camp. Pierson played up and down the Oregon Ducks offensive line but was primarily a guard during the 2015 season starting 11 of 13 games at that position.

Pierson worked his way into Ducks lineup on the interior with 17 total starts the past two seasons but went undrafted during the 2015 NFL Draft.

With Duane BrownDerek Newton and Dalton Freeman all dealing with injuries, the Texans needed to find some offensive line help for training camp.
