It was a short lived stint with the Houston Texans and in less than a week waived injured defensive lineman Alex Carrington from the roster. Carrington has been out for the past couple of days due to an undisclosed injury and played sparingly in the second preseason game against the New Orleans Saints.
Added to the roster to help out with a defensive line that was struggling with injuries the unit it getting healthier especially with Brandon Dunn returning this week.
Carrington was drafted by the Bills in the 2011 NFL Draft out of Arkansas State and has appeared in 59 career games. Totaling 62 tackles and 4 sacks, Carrington (6-5, 301 lbs.) is the definition of a run stopper. Carrington has had two seasons cut short and most recently due to tearing his quad during a game in the 2015 season.
