Akeem Hunt Cut By the Houston Texans

The Houston Texans have decided to move on from running back Akeem Hunt.

In one of the tougher decisions for the Houston Texans, Akeem Hunt was cut prior to the deadline for the 53-man roster. Hunt made a strong showing during the preseason to push for a roster spot but it was not enough for the running back depth chart.

During the preseason, Hunt rushed for 86 yards at 2.9 yards per carry, with five receptions for 36 yards, and 2 touchdowns.

The Texans opted to keep Lamar MillerAlfred Blue, rookie Tyler Ervin, and Jonathan Grimes on the 53-man roster.
