Joseph Cheek Signed To The Houston Texans Practice Squad

The Houston Texans have signed offensive lineman Joseph Cheek to the practice squad.

The Houston Texans have signed free agent offensive lineman Joseph Creek to their practice squad. Cheek went undrafted in 2016 and was signed by the New Orleans Saints after the NFL Draft.

Appearing in 50 career games for the Aggies at Texas A&M, Cheek played at right guard, staring 24 games straight at the position. At the NFL level with his frame (6'7", 305 lbs.) Cheek bumped out to offensive tackle for the Saints and that proved to be a good move for him. The Texans received a much closer look at Cheek over a two-day stretch, having held a joint practice and a preseason game with the New Orleans Saints during the second week of the preseason.

The Texans continue to look for depth on their offensive line and, for the time being, Cheek will serve as depth on the practice squad as he tries to catch up with the offense, preparing the active roster week to week.
