Brennan Scarlett Placed on the Injured Reserve By The Houston Texans

The Houston Texans place rookie Brennan Scarlett on the injured reserve.

The Houston Texans have placed rookie outside linebacker Brennan Scarlett on the injured reserve which will more than likely end his 2016 season. Scarlett was injured on the first punt coverage play on Sunday Night against the Indianapolis Colts, which thins out the outside linebacker position group.

Scarlett made the 53-man roster out of training camp as a rookie free agent and was only active for three games in 2016. Playing majority of the special teams units, Scarlett had three tackles and two tackles defensively for the season.

With Scarlett heading to the injured reserve, the Texans signed Brandon Dunn and Don Jones to the 53-man roster.
