Eric Tomlinson Signed of the Houston Texans Practice Squad by the New York Jets

The Houston Texans lost tight end Eric Tomlinson to the New York Jets.

The Houston Texans lost practice squad tight end Eric Tomlinson to the New York Jets who signed him prior to their game with the Miami Dolphins. Tomlinson signed off the practice squad mean he will immediately be placed on the Jets' 53-man roster for their upcoming game.

Tomlinson was signed by the Eagles after going undrafted out of UTEP after the 2015 NFL Draft. Going through camp with the Eagles in 2015, Tomlinson was released prior to the season before ending up on their practice squad. Later that season the Texans added Tomlinson to their practice squad where he spent parts of the past two seasons until the Jets came calling for his services.

With Tomlinson now with the Jets, the Texans will now look to fill his spot with more than likely another tight end.
