Jaelen Strong to Miss Extended Time for the Houston Texans

Houston Texans wide receiver Jaelen Strong expected to miss time due to an ankle injury.

Houston - Reports coming from Aaron Wilson of the Houston Chronicle that wide receiver Jaelen Strong is expected to miss close to a month due to an ankle injury. Strong sustained the injury while blocking against the Detroit Lions when Lamar Miller was tripped up into the legs of the wide receiver. Strong immediately went down in pain and did not return for the win over the Lions.

Strong moved himself into the rotation at wide receiver, spending most of his time at the slot wide receiver. He has 14 receptions (24 targets) for 131 yards, averaging 9.4 yards a reception and has done a good job of blocking on the second level of the run game, creating space for Miller and Alfred Blue.

With Strong out, expect Keith Mumphery to move onto the active game day roster. Also, Will Fuller remains an injury situation to watch, as he deals with knee and hamstring issues.
