The Houston Texans signed rookie wide receiver Tevin Jones back to the team, but this time to the practice squad. Jones was with the Texans during the off-season and training camp, putting together a solid body of work for the Texans. Jones arrives back to the team after being cut prior to the start of the season and filling a pratice squad spot which was vacated after a couple of promotions heading into this week’s game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
One of the play makers at Memphis, Jones was a go to option for Paxton Lynch. Jones also played some high-end special teams for the Tigers, making him a dual threat with versatility for the roster. In four seasons at Memphis, Jones caught 90 passes for 1,215 yards and 9 touchdowns.
Jones will help fill out the practice squad leading into the final portion of the season.
