The Houston Texans Name Brock Osweiler the Starter for Wildcard Weekend

The Houston Texans have named Brock Osweiler the starter for the wildcard game against the Oakland Raiders.

The Houston Texans have named Brock Osweiler the starter for Saturday's game against the Oakland Raiders. Late season starter, Tom Savage suffered a concussion against the Tennessee Titans and has just started the concussion protocol. Bill O'Brien mentioned that is Savage clears the protocol that he would be the back up for the game against the Raiders.

Osweiler came in late in week 17 against the Titans and lead the offense to three scoring drives in the 4th quarter. If Savage can not clear the protocol, Brandon Weeden will be the back up.

On the season Osweiler has thrown for 2,957 yards (59.9%) with 15 touchdowns and 16 interception on the season with a quarterback rating of 72.2.
