The Houston Texans continued to work on finding potential matches for their team moving forward and at the Senior Bowl they continue to look at prospects closer. At the Senior Bowl, the Texans met with Ole Miss tight end Evan Engram.
The 6’3”, 236 lb. Engram put up an impressive season in 2016 which saw him post 65 receptions 926 yards and 8 touchdowns at 14.2 yards per catch. For his career, Engram had 162 receptions for 2,320 yards and 15 touchdowns and is the school’s all-time leader in receptions and yards for a tight end.
Another matchup issue who teams covet at the NFL level, Engram fits the mold that the Texans are aiming to land in this year’s draft: playmakers on the field and at the tight end position.
