The Houston Texans continue to put together their prospect list heading to the draft process and the Senior Bowl the Texans met with cornerback Brendan Langley of Lamar University. The former Georgia Bulldog found a home at Lamar University and has put himself into the discussion to be a coveted mid-round selection.
The former wide receiver for the Bulldogs arrived to Lamar in 2015 and played some offense before switching to the defensive side of the ball. Playing in 22 games for the Cardinals, his final season saw him rack up 43 tackles with 6 interceptions and 7 pass deflections. His final season with the Cardinals saw Langley selected to 1st team All-Southland conference honors. Langley is also an accomplished punt returner how had 21 returns for 245 yards and 2 touchdowns with a long of 90.
With the changing NFL, depth a cornerback is a must and the Texans defense has shown exactly that the past few seasons. Langley’s ability to play cornerback and return punts are an added plus for him entering the NFL Draft.
