The Houston Texans are in desperate need of finding a solution at right tackle for the upcoming season. This weekend, the Texans are set to host free agent right tackle Mike Remmers who is taking visits on his unrestricted free agent tour. Remmers future in Carolina appears to be over with the Panthers going in a different direction at their offensive tackle spots signaling an end of him there.
Remmers was signed a rookie free agent in 2012 and has bounced around to multiple teams before sliding into the starting right tackle spot for the Panthers in 2015. Starting the past 32 games for the Panthers, Remmers is only 27 and still has a chance to improve his game.
The former Oregon State product has suitors with Detroit, Minnesota and now Houston. He is set to visit the Vikings before his trip to meet with the Texans this weekend.
* Note Remmers has signed with the Minnesota Vikings and not making his trip to Houston.
