Texans Free Agency: Oday Aboushi Signs with the Seattle Seahawks

Houston Texans lose another in free agency with Oday Aboushi leaving to Seattle.

The Houston Texans took another hit losing offensive lineman Oday Aboushi to the Seattle Seahawks on a one-year deal. Aboushi was a spot starter for the Texans over the past two seasons at both left and right guard. The Texans claimed Aboushi during the 2015 season after being waived by the New York Jets.

Aboushi appeared in 11 games for the Texans while starting 8 of those games. Offensive line coach Mike Devlin was instrumental in bringing in Aboushi to Houston with Devlin coaching him with the New York Jets in 2014.

The Texans depth at offensive line took another hit which means the Texans will continue to look for depth in 2017. Both starting guards Xavier Su'a-Filo and Jeff Allen return for the upcoming season.
