The Houston Texans have a pre-draft visit set up Purdue Boilermakers wide receiver Deangelo Yancey according to the Houston Chronicle’s Aaron Wilson. The Texans have 30 pre-draft visits with prospects prior to the NFL Draft and Yancey will be one of those visits for the organization to take a closer look at Yancey.
At Purdue in 2016, Yancey had 49 receptions for 951 yards and 10 touchdowns with a long of 88 yards. In 2015, he racked dup 48 receptions for 700 yards and 5 touchdowns marking his first full season as a starter.
At his Pro Day, Yancey checked in at 6-1 and 220 lbs. and ran a 4.53 40-yard dash. He benched 225 lbs. 21 times, have a vertical jump of 35 1/2 inches and broad jumped 10’01”.
Considered a day three prospect, Yancey was selected to All-Big Ten Honors in 2016.
Yancey was invited to the East West Shrine game.
