The Houston Texans are set to workout Bucknell offensive tackle Julie'n Davenport this week according to Tony Pauline. The FCS standout is expected to be a mid-round selection and with offensive tackle at a premium across the NFL, Davenport’s stock continues to rise.
The two-year team captains was a three time All-Patriot League selection and was selected as an FCS All-American. Starting 11 games at left tackle, Davenport started all 44 games of his collegiate career.
A Senior Bowl invite, Davenport’s 36 1/2 inch arms has NFL teams intrigued with his upside and possibly try to develop him further before putting him on the field full time. Playing mainly left tackle for Bucknell, his projection early is as a right tackle in the NFL.
