The Houston Texans worked out offensive lineman Isaac Asiata.

The Houston Texans held a private workout with Utah offensive lineman and team captain Isaac Asiata. Cousin to current Minnesota Vikings running back Matt Asiata, Asiata has played different positions along the Utes offensive line.

Asiata served a two-year church mission before starting his career in 2013 at right tackle. With 43 career starts and 39 straight at left guard and right guard from 2014-2016. In 2016, Asiata was voted the Pac-12’s best offensive lineman voter by the league’s starting defensive lineman. Was also named as second team all-Pac 12 and AP All-Bowl team.

For his strong senior season, Asiata was invited to the Senior Bowl where plenty of NFL teams including the Texans had a closer look at the 6-4 and 323 lbs. offensive guard.

At the NFL Combine, Asiata benched 35 reps which was tops at the NFL Combine for offensive lineman invited to Indianapolis.
