The Houston Texans Bring in Brad Kaaya for a Pre-Draft Visit

Former Universty of Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya visited the Houston Texans on the final day of pre-draft visits.

With pre-draft visits coming to an end across the NFL, the Houston Texans hosted former University of Miami quarterback Brad Kaaya at NRG Stadium. Kaaya is one of the thirty pre-draft vists the Texans are allowed prior to the NFL draft to interview and do final checks on prospects. Kaaya is the third quarterback prospect the Texans have brought in these final days, Kaaya joins Deshaun Watson and Patrick Mahomes as the quarterbacks the Texans have brought in.

Kaaya won the starting job with the Hurricanes as a true freshman and never looked back as a quarterback until he declared for the NFL Draft. Kaaya appeared in all 38 games in his career starting every game since 2014. In 2016, Kaaya threw for 3,250 yards with 27 touchdowns and 7 interceptions and set a career high with a 62% completion percentage.  For his career, Kaaya threw for 9,686 yards with 69 touchdowns and 24 interceptions and that ranked him as the leading all-time passer in school history. His 69 career touchdown passes rank him third in school history.

With three different offensive systems in his career at Miami, questions arise if he can continue to grow as a player at the NFL level.

One of the few day one starters at the collegiate level entering the NFL Draft, Kaaya will have to work handling pressure inside the pocket to succeed at the next level.
