The Houston Texans have officially signed former Wisconsin runningback Dare Ogunbowale to their roster. There were questions on what the status of Ogunbowale was heading into rookie mini-camp and those have been answered. Ogunbowale was with the Texans in Houston, but did not particiapte in the three day camp but was around the facillity.
The former walk-on at Wisconsin, Ogunbowale arrived as a defensive back and made the switch to running back during the 2014 season. Voted team captain in 2016, Ogubowale was selected to the 2017 East-West Shrine game and was invited to the NFL Combine.
A dual threat at running back, Ogubowale showed in 2016 that rushing 80 times for 458 yards and catching 18 passes for 152 yards. Ogunbowale also ran hhis 40-yard dash time at 4.65 second, benched 14 reps and had a vertical jump of 35 inches.
