The Houston Texans to sign free agent inside linebacker Sio Moore to the roster.
With the exit of linebacker Max Bullough the Houston Texans are set to sign free agent inside linebacker Sio Moore to take his spot on the roster. Moore was a 3rd round selection by the Oakland Raiders in the 2013 NFL Draft out of Connecticut. Moore has spent time with the Raiders, Indianapolis Colts, Kansas City Chiefs and the Arizona Cardinals the past four seasons. In that stretch, Moore has 218 total tackles with 7.5 sacks, 2 pass deflections, and 4 forced fumbles.
Moore's best statistical season came in 2014 when he appeared in 11 games and totaled 90 tackles with 3 sacks. Moore was traded to the Colts after the 2014 season for a draft pick for a sixth-round draft pick after that off-season undergoing hip surgery.
New Texans assistant general manager Jimmy Raye III was with the Colts when they acquired Moore via trade from the Raiders. This is an early move with Raye's influence on acquiring talent.
