Titans Announce First Cuts

All 32 NFL teams must cut their rosters down from 90 to 75 players by Tuesday afternoon. The Titans made the first cuts on Sunday by releasing 10 players.

The Tennessee Titans waived 10 players today to get closer to the 75-man roster limit, which is required by NFL rules on Tuesday afternoon.

The team waived LB Nate Askew, CB Will Brown, LB Dezmond Johnson, WR Tebucky Jones, WR Deon Long, DE Derrick Lott, G Justin McCray, K Mike Meyer, LB Chaz Sutton and C Fernando Velasco.

All team's rosters must be trimmed down to 75 by Tuesday afternoon, so there will be at least five more players released in the nest two days.

The Titans will host the Minnesota Vikings on Thursday night, and then all teams must have their rosters trimmed to 53 by Saturday, September 5 with the 10 player practice squad available to be released on Sunday September 6.
