Walker's numbers rank with the top tight ends in the NFL, but because he plays on a struggling team he is sometimes overlooked.

Delanie Walker is having a Pro Bowl caliber season, but he doesn't always get the credit or acclaim he deserves. A look at the numbers show that he is indeed as good as the best of the best in the NFL.

Tennessee Titans tight end Delanie Walker is in the midst—again—of one of the most productive seasons by a tight end in team history. He has 53 receptions for 617 yards and three touchdowns in his 10th NFL season and his third campaign with the Titans. Despite missing a game earlier in the season (Week 2 at Cleveland) with a hand injury, Walker leads all NFL tight ends in receptions.

Most receptions by tight ends in 2015:

     Tight End                Team        Receptions
1. Delanie Walker      Tennessee      53

2. Rob Gronkowski    New England    51

3. Jason Witten         Dallas              51

4. Martellus Bennett  Chicago           50

5. Travis Kelce         Kansas City     50

6. Gary Barnidge      Cleveland         48

7. Greg Olsen          Carolina            48

8. Jordan Reed        Washington       47

9. Benjamin Watson New Orleans     46

10. Jimmy Graham   Seattle             44

Walker could reach a number of benchmarks this week against the Raiders. Among them:

• He needs one reception to reach 300 total for his career (177 with the Titans, 123 with the 49ers).

• He needs 10 receptions to match his 2014 career high of 63 receptions.

• He needs three receptions to surpass Erron Kinney (178 receptions) for the franchise’s fourth-highest reception total among tight ends. Additionally, with 10 receiving yards this week, Walker will record the best two-year receiving yardage total in franchise history. He would surpass the 1,516 receiving yards that Frank Wycheck produced from 1997 through 1998. Walker led the Titans with 890 receiving yards in 2014.

Walker nearly reached Wycheck’s mark from 2013–2014, when the current Titan registered 1,461 receiving yards over two seasons
