Braxton Miller is new to the wide receiver position, having transitioned to that spot from quarterback for his seionr season at Ohio State. His one season at the position has limited his experience, but not his athletic ability which has been on full display in Mobile this week as the former quarterback looks to make a name for himself as a receiver and earn a spot in the NFL.
The Tennessee Titans and the other thirty-one teams have liekly taken notice of what the 6'1" 204 athlete is doing on the field this week. He is raw as a receiver, but his atheltic gifts make him an intriguing talent. He will not be a first round pick, though his athletic ability is first round, but he will make someone a good player and could be one who turns into a great receiver in the future.
Miller is not the only standout on the north squad, though he has drawn the most attention.
Maurice Canady, who is one of our five to watch has shown great technical ability with footwork positioning and the ability to turn his hips and run in coverage. His size- 6'2" 195- makes him an intriguing candidate to go against the plethora of big receivers in the NFL today.
The north defensive line will also be one area to watch on Saturday as two Big 10 prospects have produced and created talk this week.Illinois Jihad Ward and Penn State defensive end Carl Nassib have gained attention and both have likely raised their stock so far this week. A big performance Saturday, especially for Ward and a continued strong performance in Indianapolis could really catapult him up draft boards.
Ward is one who has jumped up TitanRedZone's boards and is a player who might look good in two-tone blue. Time will tell.
The north team will practice Thursday morning at Ladd-Peebles Stadium.
