Titans head coach Mike Mularkey confirmed on Wednesday that they are in talks to extend the contract of Al Woods.

The Tennessee Titans and free-agent Al Woods are talking about a possible contract extension.

The Tennessee Titans have spoke with the representatives of free-agent nose tackle Al Woods about a possible extension to return the veteran to the Titans, this according to head coach Mike Mularkey.

The news came on Wednesday during Mularkey's appearance before media members inside Lucas Oil Stadium for the NFL scouting combine,

“He’s one of some of the guys we’re still talking to. There’s a lot of guys that we’re in communication with. Al played well for us last year and certainly we will talk to him,” Mularkey said.

Woods teaamed with Sammie Lee Hill to fill that role last season, and both are free-agents.

This is the first confirmation of the team talking with one of their own free-agents about a possible return to the team.
