The cold reality of the business side of the NFL hit several members of the Tennessee Titans on Sunday as the team announced the cuts of ten players and the waiving of another in beginning to reach the NFL roster limits that must go into effect on Tuesday,

The Titans waived the following players today– S Lamarcus Brutus, T William Campbell, WR Donte Foster, LB Amarlo Herrera, WR Reece Horn, LB Deiontrez Mount, CB Tyler Patmon, OL Nick Ritcher, DE Mike Smith, CB Blidi Wreh-Wilson. Additionally, the team waived (injured) C Andy Gallik.

Of the first cuts announced today, only linebacker Deiontrez Mount could be considered somewhat of a surprise while veteran corner Blidi Wreh-Wilson has long been considered among those that would be released at some point. Gallik, who was entering his second season with the Titans has been unable to stay healthy and on the field this camp while dealing with a knee injury that hastened his departure.\

UPDATE: The Titans also just announced the release of veteran defensive lineman Ropati Pitoitua.
