Young: "We fought real hard..."

Vince Young wasn't a happy camper after the Titans loss to the New England Patriots in week 17. He was even consoled on the sideline by Patriots rookie running back Laurence Maroney. Here's some quick quotes from Young after the Titans loss.

(on how it feels to be so close to making the playoffs)
Overall as a team we fought real hard just to get a taste of the playoffs.... To me I’m proud of my teammates as well as myself as well as the fans that stood behind us, throughout the season. ....I feel we did a good job to end the season despite not getting the win today.

(on if the loss today is harder to swallow)
Whoever thought we would be at this point. ... Nobody wants to lose, but I feel like we show a lot of love to each other as teammates and to the fans as well.

(on New England’s Defense)
We just couldn’t get in the end zone as an offense. They weren’t doing anything to really stop us. I really feel like we stopped ourselves as a team.

(on his interceptions)
They make plays. At the same time any quarterback doesn’t like to throw interceptions so I try to go down and make a play. I tried to do anything to try to get the guy to lose the ball.

(on his touchdown)
God blessed me with tremendous talent so when they aren’t making plays and the defensive backs are doing a good job of covering our receivers that is my time to use my legs and make something happen. We also have an outstanding offensive line that gets in front of me and makes key blocks.

(on the condition of the field today)
I don’t really have anything to do with that. All I’ve got to do is go out there and play my game.
