How Acquired: Signed as an unrestricted free agent July 26, 2011 after spending three seasons with the Chicago Bears.
Injury History: Missed two games with a hamstring injury early in the 2010 season.
2011: Was signed after the lockout ended and played in all 16 games with the Vikings, making six starts. Finished fourth on the team with 26 receptions and second on the team with 468 yards. Was the Vikings’ primary deep threat, averaging 18 yards per reception. Caught his first touchdown as a Viking Oct. 2 at Kansas City.
2010: Played in 14 games with the Chicago Bears, finishing the season with 10 catches for 149 yards and no touchdowns. He started the season opener against Detroit by catching five passes for 71 yards.
2009: Was inactive the first six games of the season with the Bears, but came on strong late. In the final four games of the season, he caught 22 passes for 286 yards and four touchdowns, including a career-best game vs. the Vikings Dec. 28 when he caught seven passes for 150 yards, including the game-winning touchdown.
2008: For the second straight year, was one of the cuts made by the Indianapolis Colts. Was signed Sept. 3 by the Washington Redskins and spent the first 13 weeks of the season on the Redskins practice squad. On Dec. 9, was signed by the Bears off the Redskins practice squad, but was inactive for the final three games of the season.
2007: Was among the first cuts of the Colts during the preseason and was signed by the Houston Texans Sept. 18 to their practice squad. Re-signed by the Colts off the Texans’ practice squad and played in the final six games of the season, catching seven passes for 96 yards. Was active for the Colts’ playoff loss to San Diego, catching one pass for 13 yards.
2006: Drafted by the Miami Dolphins in the seventh round of the 2006 draft, he was among the final cuts prior to the start of the regular season. Was signed by the Colts on Sept. 6 and spent the rest of the season on practice squad.
College: Played four years and was a two-year full-time starter at Auburn, starting 31 of 51career games. Finished his career with the Tigers with 61 receptions for 1,337 yards and nine touchdowns.
Personal: His father immigrated to the United States from Nigeria and Aromashodu was raised in Miami. He attended Miami Springs High School, where he was a high school rival of future Bears teammate Devin Hester. His sister Danielle is a standout track athlete at Florida Atlantic University. He has a daughter named Jurnee.
