Cornerbacks still questionable

The Vikings listed their two cornerbacks with knee injuries – Cedric Griffin and rookie Chris Cook – as questionable, but they seem to be making progress. Griffin even lined up with the first-team defense for a portion of Friday's practice and Cook has made it through all of the midweek practices.

Defensive tackle Jimmy Kennedy is also questionable with a knee injury. None of those three defenders has been active for either of the two regular-season games yet.

Several other Vikings working through injuries this week were listed as probable, meaning there is a "virtual certainty" they will play. They are: WR Bernard Berrian (knee), QB Brett Favre (ankle/right elbow), WR Percy Harvin (hip), LB Ben Leber (back), T Bryant McKinnie (finger) and C John Sullivan (calf).

Favre, Harvin, Berrian and Griffin were all limited in practice Friday.

Detroit has already declared WR Nate Burleson (ankle), LB Zack Follett (concussion) and QB Matthew Stafford (shoulder) as out.

DE Cliff Avril (knee/finger), LB Landon Johnson (neck), LB DeAndre Levy (groin) and G Stephen Peterman (foot) are questionable. S. C.C. Brown (forearm), S Louis Delmas (groin/biceps/calf) and LB Ashlee Palmer (ankle) are all probable.

Harvin makes second day in a row

After missing Wednesday's practice with a short-term migraine, Vikings receiver Percy Harvin was out on the field for his second straight practice Friday. He was limited on Thursday, which was probably as much due to his hip injury as a migraine.

The Vikings had full attendance at Friday's practice and an injury report is due later this afternoon, stating the likelihood of injured players being able to play Sunday against the Detroit Lions.

At this point, the most interesting designations could belong to cornerbacks Cedric Griffin and Chris Cook. Both appear close to being ready to go after their knee surgeries.
