Dungy won't be joining Vikings

Former Vikings defensive coordinator Tony Dungy could be offering advice for new interim Vikings head coach Leslie Frazier, but Dungy told the Associated Press that he has no plans to take on a formal role with the organization.

"Tony and I will be talking often in the days and weeks to come," Frazier said Monday at his press conference. "He called me earlier and I haven't been able to speak to him yet. We will definitely be conversant in the days and weeks to come, no question."

Dungy was the defensive coordinator of the Vikings under Dennis Green from 1992-95 before becoming the head coach of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and then the Indianapolis Colts.
