The Vikings' quarterback decision being as important as it is, we've been comparing five of the top quarterbacks in the 2011 NFL Draft through the stats and rankings compiled by long-time NFL draft analyst Dave-Te Thomas.
Late last week, we detailed the passing, rushing and drive-engineering statistics accumulated by Colin Kaepernick, Blaine Gabbert, Jake Locker, Ryan Mallett and Cam Newton. Today, we conclude the comparisons series by looking at their negative plays in 2010 and some of the "offensive importance" statistics, like the total yardage compiled by the player and the team, how much the quarterback accounted for, how many touchdowns the QB accounted for and more drive-engineering comparisons.
When it's all said and done, Thomas compiles the data and issues a final report card established on all the numbers he detailed during the three-part series.
