The Vikings have agreed to a one-year contract with former Bears receiver Devin Aromashodu, according to ESPN.
The 6-foot-2, 201-pound receiver can't officially be signed until Friday, but teams could start negotiating contracts with free agents from other teams starting on Tuesday.
Aromashodu has played in 30 games over five seasons with the Indianapolis Colts and Chicago Bears. The last two years, he has played in 24 games with the Bears, catching 34 passes for 447 yards and four touchdowns.
Vikings receivers Sidney Rice, Greg Lewis and Hank Baskett are all free agents, and adding Aromashodu at least gives the Vikings some depth at the position.
Aromashodu also played sparingly on special teams.
