Jared Allen finished the season with 22 sacks, which ranks second in NFL history for a season. He becomes only the seventh player to reach 20 sacks. Michael Strahan's NFL record from 2001 stayed intact at 22½. Allen tied Mark Gastineau's 22 sacks from 1984.
Allen set a team record for most sacks in a season, besting Chris Doleman's 21 sacks from 1989.
Allen became the seventh player to reach 60 career sacks with the Vikings. He now has 62. Carl Eller holds the franchise record with 130.
Allen and Brian Robison finish the season in second place for most sacks from a defensive end duo in a season. They had 30 between them, trailing only the 32½ between Chris Doleman (21) and Al Noga (11½) from 1989.
Percy Harvin set a team record for most rushing touchdowns by a wide receiver in a career. He now has three, surpassing Anthony Carter's two from 1985-93.

Harvin set a team record for most combined net yards after a player's first three seasons. Harvin has 5,821 yards, ahead of Adrian Peterson's 5,741.
Harvin set a career high in receiving yards in a season with 967. His previous career high was 868 in 2010. His 87 receptions rank 10th-most in a season.
Harvin's 128 combined net yards give him a season total of 1,704, which ranks sixth in team history. He also holds the record with 2,081 combined net yards in 2009.
Ryan Longwell moved into sixth place in NFL history for most seasons with at least 100 points in a career. He has 11 seasons reaching that mark. Jason Elam holds the NFL record with 16.
Longwell moved into second for most field goals in a Vikings career with 135. Fred Cox (1963-77) holds the franchise mark with 282.
Christian Ponder tied a team record for most games started by a rookie QB. He and Fran Tarkenton each had 10 starts in their rookie seasons.
Ponder set a team record by a rookie for most completions in a season with 158, one ahead of Tarkenton's mark of 157 from 1961.
Chris Kluwe set a team record for most games with a punt of 50 yards or more in a season. He had 14 of them this season, breaking his mark of 13 in 2009 and 2008, which was tied with two other punters.
Jim Kleinsasser played in his 181st and final career game, all with the Vikings and most ever by a tight end, three more than Steve Jordan (1982-94).
Kleinsasser ends his career in second place among Vikings tight ends with 192 receptions. Jordan had 498.
Adrian Peterson and Toby Gerhart became the 12th running back tandem to each gain at least 500 yards rushing in a season. Peterson had 970 and Gerhart had 531 yards this season.
Marcus Sherels tied a team record for most fair catches for punts in a game. He had five, tying three other players.
This was the Vikings' fifth game played on New Year's Day. The first three were playoff games. The Vikings have played the Bears three straight times on New Year's – in 1995, 2006 and 2012.
