Scouting Report: Robbie Doane

Robbie Doane can be effective developmental player for the Vikings if his weaknesses are protected, according to TFY Draft Preview's Tony Pauline.

Name: Robbie Doane School: Texas Year: 4Sr

Ht: 6-6 Wt: 311 40: 5.40 Pos: T

Bio: Two-year starter at tackle after being a top backup as a true sophomore. Experienced playing guard.

Pos: Big, strong lineman best blocking for the run. Stays square, works his hands and turns defenders out. Patient, walls defenders from the play and uses good body positioning to seal blocks. Keeps his feet moving throughout the action and works hard.

Neg: Not a knee bender or effective in space. Lacks adjustment, bends at the waist and only good in confined quarters.

Analysis: Marginal athlete with limited upside for the NFL, but tenacity and growth potential could help him make a final roster.
