Scouting Report: Adam Goldberg

A switch in positions may help accentuate Adam Goldberg's positive features and mask his limitations, according to TFY Draft Preview's Tony Pauline.

Name: Adam Goldberg School: Wyoming Year: 5Sr

Ht: 6-5.5 Wt: 325 40: 5.41 Pos: T

Bio: First-team all-conference selection the past two seasons and a second-team choice in 2000 as a junior. Started 44 consecutive games at both left and right tackle since breaking into the starting lineup as a red-shirt freshman.

Pos: Big, durable lineman best in confined quarters. Strong at the point of attack. Works to bend his knees and easily controls defenders at the point of attack once engaged in a block. Aware of his assignments, keeps opponents in front of him and works to help out linemates.

Neg: Not nimble, nor agile. Stiff and lacks body adjustment. Cannot block on the move and almost looks immobile at times.

Analysis: Inability to block anything other than a small area makes a move into guard his only option, where his run blocking strength would be put to best use.
