Vikings general manager Rick Spielman said the team has "no interest" in trading receiver Percy Harvin, who asked for a trade after voicing his unhappiness with a few issues Tuesday.
"Just some internal things that we'll get worked out. Very excited to have Percy part of this team and moving forward," Spielman said.
"I'm not going to get into any issues or anything that's been discussed. Those are all internal issues and we'll deal with them moving forward."
Harvin attended but did not participate in the Tuesday and Wednesday morning walk-through practices. He participated in portions of Tuesday afternoon's full practice, but on Wednesday afternoon he was nowhere to be seen.
Spielman said he talked with Harvin's agent, Joel Segal, a few times and head coach Leslie Frazier has talked with Harvin.
"We're going to talk more in detail. We have a lot of things to talk about and we'll talk more in detail," Frazier said.
"In our game today, there are so many things that are unpredictable and you have to deal with each and every circumstance as it occurs and this situation is no different and there could be something that's unpredictable between now and training camp that I'll have to deal with. Every situation is different."
Spielman wouldn't confirm or deny Harvin's request for a trade, but he does expect him to be part of training camp.
"He's another player that's under contract and we expect all our players under contract to be at training camp," Spielman said.
Harvin wasn't available to reporters on Wednesday, but he did have a couple posts on Twitter.
"Fans I said I have issues to be worked out money not at all being the problem...I've dne everything asked and more," he tweeted.
He followed that up with: "Me and cch have been speaking and are on same page...theres nothin I can do."
The 2009 first-round draft pick has two years remaining on his rookie contract, making base salaries of $915,000 in 2012 and $1.55 million in 2013. He also has workout bonuses of $27,500 this year and next, as well.
"It's part of the NFL. There are always going to be some players that you're going to have to deal with specific issues and deal with them internally and get them resolved and move forward," Spielman said.
"Percy loves football and that's one of the reasons why he's such a great player and why he's such an important part of this organization and why we'll continue to move forward."
Asked about the distraction factor, Frazier said he didn't think players were "overly concerned" about Harvin's absence and continued to put an optimistic spin on Harvin's future in Minnesota.
"I don't know what could keep (the difference) from getting worked out, whatever it is," Frazier said. "We'll see."
