The Vikings' new uniform design leaked just two days before the team was set to reveal the changes at their annual draft party Thursday night.
The web site uniwatch.com posted a picture of the uniforms on Twitter. Apparently a Jacksonville television station posted a photo online, taken during a visit to Nike headquarters, of the Jaguars' new uniforms. The photo included the new designs for the Miami Dolphins and Minnesota Vikings on either side.
"Yes, image of #VikingsUniforms was leaked, but team has full reveal campaign planned for fans at Draft Party. That doesn't change," tweeted Jeff Anderson, the Vikings' director of corporate communications.
The Vikings have been teasing fans for the last several weeks with a social media campaign that included a color on the "Vikings" lettering, close-up images of the belt, numbers, striping, gloves and other such details, and the leaked photos of the whole uniform match with the whole version of the uniform that was leaked.
