Vikings to celebrate All-MOA Field team

The Vikings will celebrate the All-Mall of America Field team this Sunday at halftime.

With two games remaining for the Minnesota Vikings at the Metrodome, they named their All-Mall of America Field team, which will be honored at halftime of Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles. The offense, to no one's surprise, was heavy with players who were part of the 1998 season.

That lists includes head coach Dennis Green, as well as QB Daunte Culpepper, RB Robert Smith (Adrian Peterson was also part of the 12-member offense), Cris Carter, Randy Moss, Randall McDaniel and Matt Birk.

Only three members of that 1998 defense were part of the team: DT John Randle, LB Ed McDaniel and S Robert Griffith.

Peterson headlined the list of current players on the team and was the only current offensive player on the team. DE Jared Allen, DT Kevin Williams and LB Chad Greenway also made the team.

Voted on by fans over the past month and recognized as the greatest Vikings to play in the stadium, the team consists of 27 current and former players broken into 12 offensive players, 11 defensive players and four special teamers, as well as the head coach. The team will be honored during halftime of this Sunday's Eagles-Vikings game.
