Former Philadelphia Eagles safety Kurt Coleman has agreed to terms of a contract with the Minnesota Vikings, his agent announced Monday.
Coleman was an unrestricted free agent that visited the Vikings last week.
In four years with the Eagles, Coleman started 29 games in 59 appearances, but he didn't start any games last year. In 2012, he had a career-high 70 tackles and added four passes defensed and two interceptions.
For his career, Coleman has 170 tackles, 11 passes defensed, seven interceptions and two forced fumbles.
The Vikings now have Harrison Smith and Jamarca Sanford returning as their incumbent starters at safety, with Andrew Sendejo, Robert Blanton, Mistral Raymond and Coleman battling for playing time.
